SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Did you know Food banks in the area and nationwide are losing their inventory rapidly due to the recent government shutdown? PA is hosting a food drive from February 13th-27th. Please drop off your donations in the boxes in the cafeteria or foyer before school or during one lunch.

Are you interested in participating in an activity that will help you connect with your peers in the West Building? Mrs. Kinser is looking for students to help with the West Building talent show. Come to an informational meeting during one lunch (12:00-12:30) on Thursday, February 28 in room 204 to find out how you can help support your peers. 

GUIDANCE
Rising Seniors! Are you interested in earning college credit next year? To find out how to register for a Dual Enrollment Course, please see Mr. Peyton in the Counseling Office.

SENIORS!! See Mrs. Phillips in the Business Office. College Commitment Day is April 30th and you will want to be there! TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars in scholarships will be given away at this event. Celebrate your college acceptance and see her today.

CLASSES
Cavs, finish off your week by having a blast at Iceland Skating Rink. The class of 2019 is sponsoring  Ice Skating this Friday night from 7:30 - 9:30. It's just 10 bucks and includes skate rental. See you there! 

Juniors:   The deadline date to order your class ring and receive it by the ring dance or ring ceremony is coming up on March 4th.   If you have any questions feel free to email [email protected]

Senior:  Cap and gown deliveries will be held in a few weeks. If you have not placed your cap and gown order please CLICK HERE and place your order as soon as you can. 

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS 
DREAM participants who went to the African American Male Leadership Summit, please come by Ms. Roberts room to pick up a field trip form for Read Across America Day at Pembroke Meadows Elementary on March 1st. Please do this (and turn them back in!) ASAP.  The forms are on the back counter in room 209.

 The next Garden Club meeting will be Today after school in room 326 to plant seeds for the spring! 

Yearbook will meet today from 2:15 to 4:30.

The Red Cross Club will meet this Friday to discuss upcoming projects and service opportunities. We will meet during the first half of one lunch in room 214. See you there!

OTHER INFORMATION

Fairy Godmothers of Virginia is sponsoring a prom dress sale on Saturday, March 2nd at the Norfolk State University Student Center. This is open to all middle and high school students. Dresses are only $10. Shoes and accessories are only $2. Sales are cash only.

Black History Month trivia continues.  Prizes will be awarded daily.  Questions must be turned in to the library by 2:00pm daily.
