Parking

Eligibility

  • Only Seniors and Juniors with a valid state-issued Driver’s License or a Temporary Driver’s License (90-day provisional license + learner's permit = TDL) can purchase parking decals.
  • Sophomores MAY be eligible, depending on lot availability. Principal permission is required.
  • Empty spaces may be seen throughout the year due to students having off-site classes, early releases, or absences.

Steps to be Completed

Parking Agreement

  • Princess Anne High School students, with a parking pass issued by PAHS, are allowed to park on school property. Passes are non-transferable and are used only for the vehicle designated on the application.
  • The parking decal must be placed on the inside of the rear window. It must be placed in your window where the entire tag is visible from the outside of the vehicle. An improperly displayed parking pass could result in driving privileges being revoked and the vehicle being towed.
  • Students are not allowed to park in staff, visitor, or maintenance parking spaces. State law prohibits anyone from parking in a designated handicapped parking space without a handicapped license plate or decal. Students must park in areas designated as “student parking” only. Juniors park in the Junior parking lot (near the tennis courts). Seniors park in the senior parking lot. Seniors, do not park in a space that has been painted. Your classmates have paid extra money to paint a parking space. Please be respectful and do not park in any painted parking spaces.
  • Students are not allowed to drive through the church parking lot to expedite entering/leaving school property.
  • Students are not allowed to park in the church parking lot. The church will have the vehicle towed (at the owner's expense).
  • Virginia Beach City Public Schools and PAHS assume no responsibility for any damage or theft to a vehicle or its contents while parked on school grounds. If your car is vandalized, damaged, broken into, or involved in an accident, you should report this to the police and make the school aware of the date and the outcome of the report by reporting it to the main office.
  • Students are not allowed to remain in the parking lot or permitted to return to a parked car during school hours without written permission from an administrator or security. All vehicles parked on school property are subject to search if there is reasonable cause.
  • The speed limit is 10 mph on school property and will be strictly enforced. Any form of reckless driving while on school property will result in the loss of parking privileges. Parking suspension may be a minimum of one week to a maximum of one school year.
  • Having a “boot” placed on your wheel, towing of the vehicle (at the owner's expense), and/or suspension from school may occur as a result of any violation of these regulations.
  • The fee for having a “boot” removed is $40.00. The fee must be paid before the “boot” is removed. Any damage to the parking “boot” will result in replacement costs for a new boot and loss of parking privileges.
